ROGOZNICA
Rogoznica is a coastal town located between Šibenik and Split, along the indented coastline of central Dalmatia. The town developed around a sheltered natural bay and is known today for its peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained waterfront and Frapa Marina, one of the best-known marinas on the Croatian coast. The old town is situated on a peninsula connected to the mainland, where visitors can explore stone houses, narrow streets and the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Nearby is also Dragon’s Eye, a natural saltwater lake and one of Rogoznica’s most distinctive landmarks. In addition to numerous coves and pebble beaches, the town offers a rich culinary selection based on fresh fish, seafood and Dalmatian specialities.
Thanks to its location along the Adriatic Highway, Rogoznica is well connected with other parts of Dalmatia and provides a convenient base for exploring the coast and islands. Nearby destinations include Šibenik, Primošten, Trogir, Split and Krka National Park, while regular bus services connect Rogoznica with Split, Šibenik, Zadar, Zagreb and other Croatian cities. Bus travel provides a convenient way to reach Rogoznica throughout the year and offers practical connections with major transport hubs.
