About the city
MARINA
Marina is a coastal town located west of Trogir, between Split and Šibenik, in the sheltered bay of the same name. The town is known for its peaceful harbour, rocky coastline and well-preserved Dalmatian character. The centre of the town is dominated by the 15th-century Cippico family tower, which is now one of Marina’s most recognisable landmarks. The surrounding area is characterised by numerous coves, olive groves and vineyards, while the proximity of the clear sea and Mediterranean vegetation makes the area a pleasant place to visit throughout the year. Local restaurants offer fresh fish, seafood and other traditional Dalmatian dishes.
Marina is a convenient starting point for exploring central Dalmatia and its coastline. Nearby destinations include Trogir, Split, Rogoznica and Šibenik, while Krka National Park and numerous islands in the central Adriatic are also easily accessible. Thanks to its location along the Adriatic Highway, regular bus services connect Marina with Split, Trogir, Šibenik, Zadar, Zagreb and other Croatian cities. Bus travel provides a convenient way to reach Marina and continue your journey to other destinations along the Dalmatian coast.
