About the city
BRODARICA
Brodarica is a coastal town located a few kilometres south of Šibenik, along the Šibenik archipelago and the islands of central Dalmatia. Once a fishing settlement, it is now known for its peaceful coastal surroundings, beaches, seaside promenades and proximity to the island of Krapanj, the lowest inhabited island in the Adriatic, known for its traditional sponge harvesting. The town developed along a rugged coastline with numerous coves and small beaches, while Brodarica offers views towards the Šibenik archipelago. The surrounding area features numerous natural and cultural attractions, while local cuisine includes fresh fish, seafood and Dalmatian specialities.
Thanks to its proximity to Šibenik and its location along the main coastal road, Brodarica is a convenient starting point for exploring central Dalmatia. Nearby destinations include Šibenik, Primošten, Rogoznica, Krka National Park and Kornati National Park. Regular bus services connect Brodarica with Šibenik, Split, Zadar, Zagreb and other Croatian cities, making it easy to arrive by bus and continue your journey to other destinations along the Dalmatian coast.
