About the city
SELCE R.
Selce is a coastal town located on the Crikvenica Riviera, a few kilometres south of Crikvenica, along the coast of Kvarner Bay. Once a fishing and stone-cutting settlement, it is now known for its well-maintained beaches, seaside promenades and peaceful Mediterranean atmosphere. The town has retained some of its traditional character through its old centre, stone houses and small harbour, while the coast offers numerous facilities for leisure and recreation. The surrounding area features numerous coves, islands and natural landscapes typical of Kvarner, while local cuisine is based on fresh fish, seafood, locally produced olive oil and specialities of the coastal region.
Thanks to its location on the Crikvenica Riviera, Selce is a convenient starting point for exploring Kvarner and the Croatian Littoral. Nearby destinations include Crikvenica, Novi Vinodolski, the island of Krk, Rijeka and numerous natural attractions in the surrounding hinterland. Regular bus services connect Selce with Rijeka, Crikvenica, Senj, Zagreb, Zadar and other Croatian cities, making bus travel a convenient way to reach the town and continue your journey towards coastal and inland destinations.
