About the city
ŠIBENIK
Šibenik is one of the oldest Croatian cities on the Adriatic and the only major coastal city founded by Croats. It is known for its rich cultural and historical heritage, narrow stone streets and the impressive Cathedral of St. James, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can explore four historic fortresses, stroll along the Šibenik waterfront and enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere, excellent cuisine and numerous cultural events. The city is also an excellent starting point for visiting Krka National Park and Kornati National Park.
Šibenik is an attractive destination throughout the year, whether you are visiting for leisure, cultural attractions or business. Thanks to its good transport connections and numerous bus routes, Šibenik is a natural starting point for journeys to Zadar, Split, Zagreb and other Croatian cities, as well as an ideal base for exploring central Dalmatia.
