About the city
ROVINJ
Rovinj is one of the most beautiful and renowned towns on the Croatian coast, known for its romantic Old Town, colourful houses along the waterfront and narrow stone streets leading to the Church of St. Euphemia, the city’s most recognisable landmark. Once a traditional fishing town, Rovinj is now one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Adriatic, attracting visitors with its rich history, Mediterranean atmosphere, excellent cuisine and beautiful natural surroundings.
With numerous beaches, promenades and cycling trails, Rovinj is also an excellent starting point for exploring Istria and its natural and cultural attractions. The city is well connected by bus with Pula, Zagreb, Rijeka and other Croatian cities throughout the year, making it an easily accessible destination for both weekend trips and longer holidays.
